imos NET is our Internet based presentation and ordering system for innovative eBusiness solutions. According to the motto “sales-to-machine“, imos offers integrated online solutions for selling furniture on the Internet with a direct connection to imos CAD/CAM for the furniture production. The complete ordering process on the Internet is uninterrupted for the customer.  Examples for the sales and order processes via imos NET are direct marketing, trading or production outsourcing. Numerous solutions for the order configuration are in use - for both B2B and B2C.

The imos NET module is optimised for online use, the shop solution is a plug-in free which runs on all current browsers. The basic technology fulfils the security requirement for working on the Internet and is organised so that any system modifications/maintenance work has no effect on the current system.  Orders are collected in the password restricted back end section of the system. They are either manually or automatically downloaded from the server and imported into the imos CAD/CAM system in which all manufacturing information is automatically generated.

The shop system sends the Internet furniture sale to the manufacturer without any intervention. The online order process with quote output integrates seamlessly into the companies systems including simple connections to ERP and company specific software solutions. The furniture range offered is composed on the basis of the imos CAD designs. The validation logic can be optimally aligned to the range. Interested parties configure and plan and orders are then imported into imos CAD/CAM and manufacturing information is produced. Baskets and quotes with subtotals, surcharge or discounts can be easily customized to meet the requirements at the point-of-sale.

The graphical configuration of furniture with customisable and rule based user guidance is the core element of the imos NET solutions. You can assemble individual furniture and add them to the NET shopping basket or room planning with only a few mouse clicks. The user can chose between two possibilities:

With the NET Configurator you can select furniture out of the catalog and define its characteristics such as dimensions, fronts, colours etc. Prices, product descriptions and pictures are automatically generated and shown after finishing the configuration.

Additionally to this, the furniture can also be assembled interactively by Drag & Drop from single components in the NET Designer. The price and view updates automatically after every change.

Every article is checked automatically to ensure its suitable for production. The data can be transferred to imos CAD/CAM for the generation of production documents and NC-data.

Perfect for interior planning and presentation at the Point-of-Sale: the 2D/3D room planning offers individual and multi room systems with intelligent furniture positioning, inserting articles with Drag & Drop, real-time visualisation, global modification of surfaces in the complete planning or from individual article groups and a virtual walk through the room. Furniture and decoration can be selected with a few clicks and put in the room layout. A photo realistic presentation is possible in every planning phase. The operation is intuitive and self-explanatory.
